چکیده
The occurrence of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) in critically ill patients with viral pneumonitis has increasingly been reported recent years. Influenza-associated (IAPA) and COVID-19-associated (CAPA) are the two most common forms this fungal infection. These diseases cause high mortality patients, whom were previously immunocompetent. pathogenesis IAPA CAPA is still not fully understood, but involves viral, host factors. In article, we discuss several aspects regarding CAPA, including their possible pathogenesis, use immunotherapy, future challenges.

Pulmonary Hydatid Cyst Co-infected with Invasive Aspergillosis
Here we report a case of co-infection of hydatid cyst with invasive apergillosis, in a previously healthy, non immunocompromised, 26year old man. Chest x-ray revealed a large cystic cavity in left upper lobe of lung histopathologic examination of the specimen confirmed the diagnosis of hydatid cyst with numerous fungal hyphea which invaded the laminated wall of the cyst. Although, co-infection ...

We read with great interest the article by Sandborn et al (Gut 2007;56:1232–9) about maintenance therapy of Crohn’s disease with adalimumab and the recent publication by Viget et al (Gut 2008;57:549–58) on opportunistic infections in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. In their series including 276 patients, Sandborn et al note no severe infectious complications apart from upper respirato...

متن کاملSpontaneous Pneumothorax in an Allogeneic Cell Transplant Recipient with Invasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis and Antecedent RSV Pneumonitis.
We report a case of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) following respiratory syncytial virus infection in an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipient with chronic graft-versus-host disease. Delayed diagnosis of IPA resulted in the development of a pneumothorax, a rare consequence of fungal pneumonia. Respiratory virus infections are often harbingers of other infective ...
متن کاملInvasive Pulmonary Aspergillosis*
A prospective study was conducted in 38 patients with nodular lesions on plain chest radiographs and the clinical suspicion of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) to assess the diagnostic accuracy of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). For early diagnosis of IPA (clinical signs and symptoms <10 days), CT scans with demonstration of the halo sign had a high sensitiv...
